Method · Conclusion

Can you rely on this knowledge for the work at hand?

The central ArtiProof question is whether the knowledge is sufficiently dependable for the organisation to rely on it in this context and for this intended use.

Another assessor should be able to follow how you reached your conclusion. Whether independent assessors also reach similar conclusions needs a separate study. Give them the same evidence, scope, guidance and information about possible consequences. Record their first judgements before they discuss or calibrate their assessments. This is what allows you to assess their initial agreement.

What the conclusion considers

  • the bounded Knowledge Assurance Object and intended use;
  • the mix of Source, Craft and Generated Knowledge;
  • material dependencies and exclusions;
  • evidence for each of the five assurance properties;
  • consequence, uncertainty and recovery difficulty;
  • material gaps and remaining uncertainty;
  • the smallest sufficient action.
Research status. ArtiProof is actively testing whether the five properties plus context and consequence are sufficient for reproducible conclusions without adding a sixth “Validity” property or an aggregate scoring model.

ArtiProof is ready for research, but has not yet been broadly validated by independent researchers. The first independent replication is still pending. More about the research.
